Ever since I was a child, music has always been a major part of my life. When I was young, my favorite type of music to listen to was techno. A person that my dad had worked with gave us a program called Sonic Foundry Acid Pro 4.0. My brother and I would often fight over the computer to use the program. I used that program almost every day for about two years. After those two years, I pretty much gave up on making music with Acid. When I got my first MP3 player, I would always have my headphones on and listen to music when ever I could. Mid-2008 I was on a program-sharing website. There was a tab that wrote “Top Downloads.” A demo of FL Studio 8 was the #1 top download. I downloaded and installed FL Studio and was immediately hooked. The program had given me everything that I wanted and much more. It gave me more freedom of instrument/synth use, along with making your own loops rather than using preset loops. Still today I use FL Studio for all of my music production, although I have changed to using FL Studio 10. Someday I plan on getting a studio but for now I will stick with using Fruity Loops.
